My name is Sarah and I am the community fundraiser for the Five Stars Appeal.

Here in the community office, we like to think we have a galaxy of kind hearted stars out there who raise money for our appeal. Without support from the general public we wouldn’t be able to buy the replacement MRI Scanner for the poorly children from across the North West.

THIS CHARITY NEEDS YOU!
We need our fundraising galaxy to get bigger so we need people like YOU! Anybody, any age from anywhere can join our galaxy. If you’re running low on ideas take a look at the following:

Fundraising in the workplace (just make sure you ask your boss BEFORE the staff turn up in their PJs!)
Raising money at work is a great way to add a little oomph to the week and boost staff morale. You could start small and take part in “Purple Friday” or hold an internal raffle with the ultimate prize (a day off work!). Or, if you are feeling brave, organise a staff night out or even a black tie ball!

Fundraise with your mates in your local
Why not organise the perfect night out for you and your friends. Your venue, your music, your guest list? You could hold your own race night, fancy dress, a promise auction, a wine tasting or karaoke (possibly where you donate money to STOP people singing!). Click here for your fundraising starter pack which will give you all th information you will need to host your own event.  Perfect venues for these events are pubs and lots of breweries encourage their staff to hold charity nights. Your local could become the Five Stars Scanner Appeal’s newest hot spot!

Kids can get in on the act too!
It’s essential that we teach the next generation how important it is to care and share with others who are less fortunate than themselves. This is a great reason to encourage children to do something fun for charity. Click here for ways in which children can become involved.
