1. This competition is open to UK residents aged 18 or over on 1st July 2009
2. Where used in these Rules, Five Stars Appeal shall mean the charity registered under that name with registered charity number 518086 and (where the context permits) any such representative, employee or third party connected with such charity (including any promoter or sponsor).
3. The Five Stars Appeal will not be responsible for late delivery of a prize delivered by a third party on behalf of the Five Stars Appeal, which result in the winner(s) being unable to take up the specified prize.
5. If you are a winner you may be required to provide additional information including, without limitation, proof of identity, within a specified period. Failure to provide additional information within the required time period may result in your disqualification as a winner. By entering the prize draw you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. The Five Stars Appeal reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.
6. The Five Stars Appeal accepts no responsibility for incorrectly completed, lost or delayed entries, notices, acceptances, or other documents related to the prize.
7. The winner(s) may be required to participate in publicity connected with this prize draw and by entering into the prize draw you grant the Five Stars Appeal permission to use your name and likeness in connection with the prize draw, which shall include any related promotional purposes. You also grant the Five Stars Appeal the right to use your personal information to send you information about their respective products and services which may be of interest to you.
8. Unless otherwise stated, the winner(s) and any permitted companions will be solely responsible for travel to and from any venue relating to any prize which is the subject of the prize draw. In such cases the Five Stars Appeal will not be liable for any change of date or venue or cancellation of any such event.
9. The Five Stars Appeal reserves the right to provide a substitute prize of similar value should the specified prize become unavailable for reasons beyond its control. Cash or credit alternatives will not be offered unless agreed by the Five Stars Appeal. The prize is not transferable.
10. The name(s) of the winner(s) will be sent to anyone who requests the same within three (3) months of the closing date of the prize draw. The name(s) of the winner(s) may be obtained by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope detailing the request and including the name of the applicable draw to: Competitions at Five Stars Appeall, 446a Bury New Rd, Prestwich, Manchester, M25 5EH.
11. By taking part in the prize draw, entrants agree to be bound by the Rules and the decisions of the Five Stars Appeal which are final in all matters relating to the prize draw.
12. In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, conduct of the Five Stars Appeal, results and all other matters relating to the prize draw, the decision of the Five Stars Appeal shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
13. If you are a winner(s) of the prize draw, the receipt by you of any prize is conditional upon you complying with any and all applicable laws, rules and regulations including, without limitation, the Rules. You also acknowledge and agree that neither the Five Stars Appeal nor any prize draw sponsor(s) or any of their employees, agents or subcontractors shall have any liability to you whatsoever in connection with your entry into the prize draw and your use and/or possession of your prize, provided that nothing in these Rules shall exclude or limit the liability of any party for personal injury or death caused by negligence or for anything else which cannot be excluded or limited by law.
14. The Five Stars Appeal reserve the right to refuse entry to any event associated with any prize and that decision will be final.
15. The Five Stars Appeal reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the Rules.
16. The Five Stars Appeal reserves the right to cancel or amend the prize draw or the Rules without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside the Five Stars Appeal’s reasonable control.
