UKFast host the Five Stars Appeal website to help build the charity's online presence. Euro RSCG Biss Lancaster’s Manchester office is to handle PR for the Five Stars Scanner Appeal pro bono for the next 12 months. "We have supported Breast Cancer Care for the past five years as our chosen charity," explains Biss Lancaster’s Joint Managing Director Brian Beech, "and continue to do so but when we were asked to help out a children’s charity on our doorstep we all agreed we should do it. Every account handler will be giving their time for free and we hope that our efforts can help the Five Stars team reach its target.”
The Premiership Cook-Off in aid of the Five Stars Appeal, held at Alderley Edge's exclusive Panacea Restaurant & Bar returned to see players put their kitchen whites back on to compete in the second leg of the most heated battle in football. The footballers were split into two teams to cook, wait on tables and serve behind the bar for over 100 guests, who then went on to decide which team would be crowned the overall winners. Joe Akka, Managing Director for Panacea says ‘We are delighted with the success of our second Premiership cook off event and so pleased that the event managed to raise so much money for the Five Stars Appeal. We are so very grateful to the many footballers that took part last night - they did an amazing job in all areas of the restaurant. Based on last night’s performance they could come to us for a job anytime!"
Debt solution provider, Churchwood Finance Group, has been supporting the children’s charity, the Five Stars Appeal, since June last year. The locally run charity, which helps to raise funds for children with life threatening illnesses, was chosen by Churchwood CEO Paul Naden. “The charity is one that is very close to my heart. I believe in corporate responsibility and feel it is important for us at Churchwood that we can raise funds and awareness for this great charity. Rob Lloyd of Rob Lloyd Racing is a keen supporter of Five Stars and has donated prizes including the ownership of a racehorse for 12mths at one of our auctions.
Yaffe Fusion Art designed the Five Stars logo at the launch of the Scanner Appeal. The painting featured celebrities Chris Bisson, Ryan Giggs OBE, Max Beesley, Samia Smith and Richard O'Brien who were all Ambassadors at the time.
Over 500 Manchester hoteliers and key suppliers are expected to attend the 6th Annual Ball organised by the Manchester Hoteliers Association (MHA) on Thursday October 29th 2009 to raise funds for 3 worthy charities, Hospitality Action and local charities Five Star Scanner Appeal and the Wood Street Mission.
