Phil Proudfoot became involved with the charity through his daughter, Danielle. Even though the family spent a lot of time at the Royal Mancheter Children’s Hospital throughout Danielle’s illness, they still found time to support the appeal and ask the community in Chorley to raise funds.
Danielle lost her very brave battle and Phil then lost his wife the following year. Despite this double tragedy Phil and his sons, Nicky & Jamie, continue to support the Five Stars Appeal in memory of Danielle and Jackie. They are an inspiration to us all.
